NYFW: Hugo Boss ft Jason Wu

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OsSyI5jBAq4

KIM_1060DESIGNER: JASON WU

WHERE: NEW YORK

THE influence that architecture has on Jason Wu’s design sensibility is serious. It took just 20 minutes for the commercial stereotype of Hugo Boss to vanish from the face of the fashionsphere, leaving in it’s place a hardcore but elegant, German inspired collection – both AW14 and SS15.

I WANTED TO PRESENT A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT TAKE ON BOSS. THIS FILM EXPRESSES A MARRIAGE OF NATURE AND TECHNOLOGY, CLASSICAL VERSUS HI-TECH.“

– Jason Wu, Artistic Director BOSS Womenswear

The silhouettes, like the architectural runway set – lush greenery and mirrors – were KIM_1294heavily energised by the modernist buildings at Boss’s German HQ in Metzingen.

Two shows and Jason, together with a catwalk of some of the world’s coolest models (including Stella Tennant and Binx Walton) has surely propelled the Hugo Boss brand up New York’s top fashion ladder.
